All of our human needs are the same. Safety for ourselves and our families, ease and peace. When we see our own humanity in others we are better able to find solutions for peace.
Sadly, the meetings in Europe this week aren't leading to a breakthrough to halt Israeli settlements in Palestine and make way for the peace process to recommence. http://bit.ly/o9Cre

In our time, peace should not be a radical concept. Leading hearts and minds to believe that peace is the most natural choice will bring about lasting change.

Grief can interrupt the abiity to build peaceful relationships. It can even obstruct the ability to see that possibility. Healing grief, then, is an integral part of the peacemaking process.
Real peace comes from living harmoniously with one another. The 'reality on the ground' won't go away so isn't it time to work towards a single state solution?
In the midst of so much confusion and pain, we must learn to love each other and only then will our pain cease to be of any importance.
We've so much work to do; the time is now! Thank you Elders!
At this time of the year, it is particularily poignant that there is such pain and division in the place where Jesus was born. I hold all of the Palestinian and Israeli people in my prayers.
Tolerance and respect are human virtues and peace is a human right. Thanks to the Elders and to my elders for their support and their values. Let us pass it to the younger generations.
I cannot express it any better than Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh: "Peace is not simply the absence of violence; it is the cultivation of understanding, insight and compassion combined with action."
Our species as a whole seems to be lacking a common purpose for focus. I sincerely hope we can get past that 0.1% difference between us all to realize how important that 99.9% commonality to be.

Thanks for all the work that has been done and best wishes for the future. Here's hoping you can get everyone back to their roots and back to the ground.
Free the soil, free the people.
Thank you so much for the work you are doing. I almost didn't send a message but if ordinary people show their support rather than just think it your work might be strengthened.
The Elders is a small step for humanity to follow, and to understand that by peace only we can all live together happily ever after.

Shalom. Salem. Peace. May we all take this opportunity to recognise the unity behind the schisms that have divided us for so long.
Peace making is too important to be left to politicians alone. It needs the active, sustained involvement of all sectors of society - civil society, business, young people, women's groups - supported by all international friends of peace and justice.
Borders are for administrative purposes only. Each granule of sand is the property entrusted to humanity. Humane Society across the border shall break the barrier.

Peace is possible, however can only be possible and attainable when those who wants peace make a true commitment that love will prevail, and respect for the rights of others is considered paramount.
If the majority of people want peace, then it follows that, just as is being done by A Better Community For All, there is potential to explore cultural unity no matter what the conflict.

What unites us in being human is much greater than that which divides us. Let unity triumph in peace.
We are all on the same planet, same species all the divisions are man made. There are no invisible lines in the sand. Live now, not in the past, foundations for a future of harmony, peace, love.
The land has been bequeathed to all of Abraham's children - both from Isaac and Ishmael. It is my prayer that the family reunite as did the brothers when they buried their father.

From the American on the Jewish boat to Gaza. "Palestine I Hear You" We can no longer meet hate with hate but rather look into the eyes of our enemy and see ourselves.

It is time to move forward. Israel must recognise the State of Palestine on the 1967 border, Jerusalem internationalized. Palestine will recognize Israel.

Genuine peace should be the primary goal of all nations. Regarding Israel and the Palestinians, the goal should be the same as long as both have security and complete sovereignty.
The Elders’ visit casts a powerful moral clarity. Clearly, our destiny—Palestinians and Israelis—is to live together, as equals. Please call for boycotts, divestment, and sanctions now.
Peace constitutes an inescapable imperative the world over and the Middle East is no exception. We need a world where people compete not in killing each other but in loving each other and in sharing.
