Violence and rhetoric is blindly directed to an opposing zone. Retaliation seems to reap more intense and cheaper cognitive rewards than investing effort in addressing the systemic sources of conflict.
Only when a people feel safe, empowered, respected and sustainable will peace among those peoples become real.
'Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.'
'Do unto others as you would have them do to you'.
We learn this simple wisdom as children, yet somehow as we 'grow' we leave it behind. Peace!
Overwhelmingly, the people of the Middle East want lives of peace and justice. The framework for resolution of differences is increasingly clear, and it is to be hoped that political leaders will take full advantage of this opportunity.
There is an historic opportunity for Peace. Palestinians and Israelis should seize it, for their own sake, and that of their children.
I cannot express it any better than Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh: "Peace is not simply the absence of violence; it is the cultivation of understanding, insight and compassion combined with action."
Peace is possible. Israelis and Palestinians deserve it and can achieve it. Ordinary people can make a difference. Make your voice heard now.

There is only one way ahead for our world and it is through peace among all nations, love between all human beings - and for all other beings - and a true commitment by everyone to live accordingly.

I cannot think of another current example of the human rights abuses occuring in Palestine.
Peace is the absence of conflicts, chaos, violence, and destruction. Peace is the presence of caring, love, kindness, mindfulness, goodwill, harmony, collaboration, unity, and compassion.
Thanks for all the work that has been done and best wishes for the future. Here's hoping you can get everyone back to their roots and back to the ground.
