I remember as a teenager (living in Derry, N.Ireland at the height of the troubles) an adult saying "I doubt I'll see peace here in my lifetime". They did! Have faith in the desire for peace.
We salute the ELDERS for now deciding to intervene collectively to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict, which is the central geo-political crisis of our times.
Peace making is too important to be left to politicians alone. It needs the active, sustained involvement of all sectors of society - civil society, business, young people, women's groups - supported by all international friends of peace and justice.
We are all part of the peace we wish for - One Earth, One Heart, infinite paths... Thank you for your efforts, your vision, your willingness to listen, share truth, create connections. Many Blessings!

All my hopes are with the young people of Gaza. That they will find the courage and inspiration to keep believing in their future as the world doesn't make it easy for them.
Lutherans in the Holy Land and in the US are working tirelessly for peace for Israelis and Palestinians. This is a calling for all Christians to work energetically for peace and reconciliation.
At this time of the year, it is particularily poignant that there is such pain and division in the place where Jesus was born. I hold all of the Palestinian and Israeli people in my prayers.

Both sides, Israelis and Palestinians deserve to live in peace and recognize each other existence. Israelis to give back the 1967 occupied lands and Palestinians to acknowledge the state of Israel.
