Desmond Tutu will visit Cyprus in October to highlight the "time of hope" and opportunity for reunification. This article first appeared in Reuters.

NICOSIA - South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu will visit Cyprus in October to offer support for reunification talks between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, diplomats said on Friday.

"After decades of division, this is a time of hope for the people of this beautiful island. These opportunities don't come around very often," Tutu was quoted as saying in a statement issued by The Elders, a group of world leaders formed in 2007 by former South African President Nelson Mandela.
