<h3 class="post-title subpt">Ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, The Elders met young Africans from across the continent in Johannesburg, South Africa. Together, they sought to capture the energy and excitement surrounding the tournament by creating a 'Game Plan for a Winning Continent'.</h3><div class="quoteblock"><div class="quotetext"></div></div><p>On 29 May, The Elders met young Africans from across the continent during a special event in downtown Johannesburg. The aim was to capture the energy and excitement surrounding the World Cup and draw up a 'Game Plan for a Winning Continent'.</p>
<p>The event gathered ideas from around 80 young men and women aged 16-26 on how to better harness Africa’s strengths and build a peaceful and prosperous future for its entire people, as well as identify the obstacles to progress and what can be done to overcome them.</p>
