At the end of their visit to the Middle East The Elders brought together some of the people they met during their trip to join them for a live discussion, which was broadcast worldwide via our website. The webcast was an opportunity to explore some of the common ground between that exists between Palestinaians and Israelis, as well as some of the many issues that continue to divide them.

Desmond Tutu, Jimmy Carter, Mary Robinson, Gro Brundtland and Ela Bhatt were joined in Jerusalem by Israelis Gali Agnon and Hani Zubida, and Palestinians Khaled Sabawi and Haneen Naamnih. They were also joined live via satellite link by Sam Bahour and Wafa Abdel Rahman in Ramallah, and Tal Madar and Yoav Ben Simon in Tel Aviv. Eman Mohammed participated via phone from Gaza.
