We are recruiting: Operations Manager
Job description
- Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts such as government offices and officials, contractors and partner organisations and suppliers.
- Project manage operational and logistical arrangements and event planning for board meetings, visits, workshops and events, collaborating internally where required.
- Conduct research, including site visits, in preparation for The Elders' visits, meetings and events, create reports and make recommendations to the Deputy Director (Operations) and SMT.
- Provide day-to-day IT and systems support to the London Secretariat office; including conducting technology inductions, training and workshops for staff members.
- Working with the Deputy Director (Operations), responsible for management of technology including: systems architecture, asset and CRM databases, ensuring adequate IT systems, polices and protocols to ensure the various organisational archiving policies and protocols are adhered to.
The successful applicant
A successful Operations Manager should have:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, as well as experience managing IT and telecoms systems and procurement.
- Experience of working in an international, multi-cultural environment, and of harsh and dangerous environments; Experience of protocol/diplomatic skills preferable.
- Comprehensive experience in international travel, experience working with high level partners at both a private and government level, and of providing logistical support for high profile events and/or individuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
