Minemitsu Nishimura

About

Born in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, Minemitsu Nishimura has been driven by a vision of world peace since childhood. At just 13 years old during the Cuban Missile Crisis, he began contemplating the fundamental question: "Why do wars happen when no one truly desires them?" This early insight sparked his lifelong quest to understand how global peace could be achieved.

After graduating high school, Minemitsu began his professional journey at a local medical equipment manufacturer before embracing entrepreneurship at age 25. His business acumen flourished as he built a nutrition and wellness empire, Sunny Health, beginning with probiotic beverages and health foods. Upon discovering "Microdiet" from the United Kingdom, he transformed this opportunity into a remarkably successful venture generating annual revenues of 50 billion yen.

During a transformational period of illness, Minemitsu experienced a profound revelation about achieving world peace while confined to his hospital bed. This pivotal moment deepened his commitment to addressing humanity’s most fundamental challenges. Upon recovery, he channeled this vision into dedicated peace advocacy, with a particular focus on comprehensive United Nations reform. To advance this mission, Minemitsu established a General Incorporated Association in Japan and founded United Peace International (UPI), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organisation in the United States, creating a global platform for his peace initiatives.

2025 Minemitsu’s vision has resonated with global peace leaders, earning him the collaboration of six Nobel Peace Prize laureates. This prestigious coalition launched their worldwide initiative at a Tokyo conference in November 2023, marking the beginning of United Peace International's mission to create sustainable pathways to world peace through institutional reform and international cooperation.
