Sophie joined the Elders in March 2025 as Policy Advisor, leading the Elders’ cross-cutting commitment on multilateralism. Sophie previously spent more than seven years at the United Nations, working on peace and security, political affairs, and digital cooperation, and most recently co-led the Secretary-General’s flagship human rights initiative in partnership with OHCHR. Before joining the UN, Sophie spent more than eight years as a correspondent, reporter, and editor with France 24. 

Sophie holds an MA in Global Diplomacy from SOAS and a BA (Hons) in Journalism from Southampton Solent University. She lives in north London with her son, with whom she enjoys exploring the city, especially the green parts.
