Annual Review 2025: Learning from history, leading for the future
The Elders’ 2025 Annual Review is now available to download.
In 2025, the world was increasingly affected by geopolitical volatility, disregard for the rule of law, worsening conflicts, and atrocities against civilians. These destabilising trends demanded the Elders’ continued vigilance, commitment, and engagement.
Over the year, Elders travelled to 12 countries to draw attention to urgent global challenges and champion bold action. Through participation in global forums, engagement with world leaders, and frontline visits, they continued to advocate for the values they believe are essential: cooperation between countries to address shared challenges, respect for the rule of law, and the universality of human rights.
