Media Advisory: The Elders to visit Kuwait from 1-4 July 2018
Martti Ahtisaari and Lakhdar Brahimi will visit the State of Kuwait to discuss regional security and political issues with senior political leaders and civil society.

The Elders will visit the State of Kuwait from 1-4 July 2018 to discuss regional security and political issues.
Martti Ahtisaari, former President of Finland and Nobel Peace Laureate, and Lakhdar Brahimi, former Foreign Minister of Algeria and UN diplomat, will travel to Kuwait to meet senior political leaders as well as representatives of civil society.
The Elders reaffirmed their belief that dialogue and diplomacy offer the best way to defuse tensions, resolve conflicts and re-establish peace in the Middle East region.
