<p>The Elders will visit the State of Kuwait from 1-4 July 2018 to discuss regional security and political issues.</p>
<p><a href="https://theelders.org/martti-ahtisaari"><strong>Martti Ahtisaari</strong></a>, former President of Finland and Nobel Peace Laureate, and <a href="https://theelders.org/lakhdar-brahimi"><strong>Lakhdar Brahimi</strong></a>, former Foreign Minister of Algeria and UN diplomat, will travel to Kuwait to meet senior political leaders as well as representatives of civil society.</p>
<p>The Elders reaffirmed their belief that dialogue and diplomacy offer the best way to defuse tensions, resolve conflicts and re-establish peace in the Middle East region.</p>
