Media Advisory: The Elders to visit Saudi Arabia from 25-28 February 2018

<p>The Elders will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 25-28 February 2018 for meetings with senior leadership to discuss current social and economic reforms and security issues across the Middle East.</p>
<p>The delegation will be headed by <a href="https://theelders.org/kofi-annan"><strong>Kofi Annan</strong></a>, former United Nations Secretary-General and Chair of The Elders. He will be accompanied by <a href="https://theelders.org/martti-ahtisaari"><strong>Martti Ahtisaari</strong></a>, former Finnish President; <a href="https://theelders.org/lakhdar-brahimi"><strong>Lakhdar Brahimi</strong></a>, former Algerian Foreign Minister and UN diplomat; <a href="http://theelders.org/hina-jilani"><strong>Hina Jilani</strong></a>, Pakistani human rights advocate; and <a href="http://theelders.org/ernesto-zedillo"><strong>Ernesto Zedillo</strong></a>, former President of Mexico.</p>
<p>The Elders remain convinced that dialogue and diplomacy offer the best way to defuse all tensions, resolve conflicts and re-establish peace in the Middle East region.</p>
